home again, home again

Hi everyone, we're back from the happy land of magical fun! (we actually got back Wednesday night, but yesterday was a day of laundry and adjusting to reality again) And oh, we had such a good time. I can't wait to tell you all about it. But I'm also THRILLED to be home... with our own comfy couch, our own comfy beds, food we don't have to pay an arm and a leg for, and absolutely no waiting in line for anything! My tired feet are glad to be home too...


I would just like to say a big huge THANK YOU to my sweet and wonderful guest bloggers who did such an amazing job filling in while I was gone.

Lydia-- your seester post made me smile! I love that you put up those old pictures of us all. Ah, childhood... we really were cute, weren't we?? Especially you with your adorably bald and big head. :) What a sweet darling sister you are, and reading what you wrote only made me miss you more than I already do (and I didn't even think that was possible!!). I love you bunches and bunches and oodles.

Kourtni-- your post was incredibly sweet and gracious, and you totally made me blush with all the kind things you said about me. I don't deserve it. The rest of you should know, first of all, that I did not ask Kourtni to guest blog just so she would say wonderful things about me and talk me up to you all (lol), and secondly, that the feeling is 100% completely mutual. Kourtni was not only one of the very first friends I made here in Bakersfield-- she was so friendly and kind to little ol' me, I still remember the first time I met her-- but has been a wonderful example through the years to me of godly motherhood and wifeliness. She was the first of our little "group" to get married, the first of us to have a child-- and she blazed the trail before us with amazing God-given graciousness. I've learned so much from you, Kourtni, and I am so very very glad that we are getting to be such OLD friends!! :) I loved the memories you brought up, and I forgive you for the pictures (you may have thought your bangs were bad, but did you see how huge my eyebrows were?? Or how much help I needed in the makeup department?? Or that I was wearing overalls too?? Eek.) So funny!! Love you!!

Ashley-- I asked you to do Tasty Tuesdays because I knew it would be SUPER yummy, and you certainly came through. You totally had my mouth watering with those beautiful pictures of your pizza. I am ashamed to say that I never take the time to make my own pizza, but I am totally going to try it now that you've provided such a great recipe. Oh, and I think your kids will totally love your cool-mom-pizza-making tradition. How could they not??? :)

Jerusha-- one word: AWWWWW!! What an adorable auntie post. The pictures of you girls with my girls just melt my heart. I hope you know how much I appreciate and love the part you play in Emma and Annabelle's life-- they are truly blessed to have some of the sweetest aunties ever in all my sisters. And oh how they miss you and Lydia! I hope they get to soak up some auntie-lovin' soon. Kisses, sister of mine!

I actually wish that we could have been gone longer just so I could have had more guest bloggers. There are so many more of you I wanted to ask. It is so FUN to have guest bloggers! So, be prepared, the next time I go away some of you may just be getting an e-mail from me asking for a little favor. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The Disneyland pictures and stories will be coming next week, along with other posts too-- I feel like I have alot to catch up on with everything that has been going on.
