(actually closer to three now, since you'll be 11 weeks in just 4 days. oh my, how the time is flying by!)

 



Bennett-boy.

You are growing so quickly, becoming more and more yourself everyday.

You NEED someone around you, always talking to you or at least in plain sight. And when we do talk to you, you are all smiles and happy faces.

You don't sleep during the day. Like, hardly at all. This is making life a little tricky and exhausting for your mama, but we're figuring things out the best we can.

Thankfully, you are sleeping through the night for the most part, going to bed around 9 or 9:30 and sleeping until 5 or 6 in the morning. Thank you for this, little buddy. (now if only your mommy would be sensible and go to bed shortly after you, things would be peachy. But since her only free time is after you're finally down for the night, that doesn't seem to happen. ever.)

You love your bumbo, which has pretty much been the greatest thing ever. You sit there while we do schoolwork, while mommy cooks dinner or puts on makeup or does hair, or anything else that needs doing with more than one hand. Thank goodness for your bumbo.

You are getting deliciously chubby-cheeked and roly, and we nibble on you because we can't resist how cute you are.

You've already acquired quite a few nicknames and variations in your short life: Mr. Bennett, Benny-boy, Benny-boo, Ben-boy, little mister or brother, tooter-pooter (you toot a lot. and they stink.), and of course there's always Bennett-boy.



You're rather high-maintenance right now, it's true, but your innate and ever-present adorableness more than makes up for it.

My little son, I'm so thankful for you. I know I've said it so many times, but I'll keep saying it.

God sent you into my life when I needed you the most, and you give me joy every day.

You give us all joy.

 

Now, if you could just take a nice long nap every now and then, my joy would be complete. :)
